OPEN CALL for disabled or neurodivergent early-career creatives, practicing within the Midlands region, for a creative residency along the railway line, between Buxton and Stockport.

Creative Journeys Residency Open Call 

No Jobs in the Arts CIC, in partnership with High Peak and Hope Valley CRP, Avanti West Coast, and Northern are seeking expressions of interest from disabled and neurodivergent creatives for a creative residency along the railway line between Buxton and Stockport!

Two creatives will be commissioned to take part in a self-led creative rail residency. Inspired by their journey, the creatives will design four creative activities, which will be transformed into a Creative Journeys Leaflet. The aim of the Creative Journeys Leaflets is to invite members of the public to share in the creative’s experience and find inspiration as they travel by rail in Spring 2026.

Commissioned creatives are expected to complete their rail journey and design their four activities by Friday 19th December 2025. Creatives will receive support from No Jobs in the Arts throughout the project. Creatives will be paid an all-inclusive fee of £750 (~3 days) and receive free rail passes for their journey.
