Pilgrim’s Art Postcard (PAP) Fund
We’ve created a new micro-funding initiative, designed especially for low-income, early-career creatives to undertake research pilgrimages to exhibitions, artworks, and inspiring arts events throughout the Midlands.
Successful applicants can receive up to £25 to support the expenses related to their art pilgrimage. This funding may be used for:
🚗 Travel: Transportation costs within the Midlands.
🍽 Subsistence: Food, drinks, and other essential travel costs.
🎟 Admission Fees: Entry to exhibitions, galleries, and arts events.
📬 Pilgrimage Documentation: A postcard or materials to document and share your journey.
🛠 Access Needs: where required.
Who can apply:
Early-career visual artists working, studying, living or making in or around the Midlands. No Jobs in the Arts does not use a single definition for “early-career creative,” nor do we means-test income.
How to apply:
1. Share a link to your planned pilgrimage location.
2. Break down your expected costs (up to £25).
3. Provide your contact details and a link to your creative work.
What has any of this got to do with a Postcard?
To capture your journeys, we propose purchasing a commemorative postcard on your journey which, when sent to us, will form the basis of a unique PAP collection. While this is optional, we highly encourage both successful and unsuccessful applicants to participate, documenting their pilgrimages.
When to apply:
Submissions for PAP open and close based on the availability of funds and the number of applications received. To kick things off, No Jobs in the Arts has allocated an initial £250 to PAP.
